Flat Roof Repair in Port Clinton, OH
Challenge
These homeowners in Port Clinton, OH had a section of their roof that was flat which was causing them several issues. The slope of the roof wasn't allowing water to run off and they had a skylight that had standing water around it which was also beginning to leak. Another thing was that where the flat roof and the siding met there was no flashing to water was also damaging the shingles and potentially getting behind the siding!
Solution
To solve these issues we had to removed a large section of the roof so we could make permanent repairs that would correct the many issues! We started by adding a slight slope to the roof that barely seems noticeable but would allow just enough of an angle to help water naturally flow off naturally. We then added flashing where the roof and siding met which was never properly done the first time. Lastly, we added a thick underlayment that wouldn't allow standing water to penetrate through!
