Bathroom Remodeling Project in Temperance, MI
Challenge
Team Arnold Strikes Again:
Arnold’s Home Improvement has teamed up with Nightingales Harvest to provide a local Temperance man and his family with a new bathroom and gutters.
Craig Ostermyer’s mom and dad are in ill health so Craig, his wife Angela, their special needs adult child and two other children moved in to the parent’s home to take care of them. In January 2016, Craig was diagnosed with Small Cell Carcinoma of the lungs which had metastasized to the brain. Craig received chemotherapy and radiation to the lungs and brain. He just recently found out that the cancer has spread and is now in his spinal cord canal, the liver and many other spots. He has gone back to receiving radiation to help him keep from becoming paralyzed and to help with the pain. Craig has been given 3-4 months to live.
Angela, Craig and Craig’s parents would be lost without all the help from Arnold’s Home Improvement, Local 8 and Pepco.
Solution
Arnold’s Home Improvement is remodeling the bathroom so that it is better accessible for everyone in the family and putting up new gutters on the house. Arnold’s Home Improvement has an install date of 11/19 and is on track to achieve this date. We have had many donations from Famous Supply, Modern Builders Supply, Sherwin Williams, Countertop Shop, Riley’s Flooring, Top Notch Gutters and Mike Cousino, the bathroom installer.
Local 8 electricians have been out to the house on three different occasions updating electrical in the house and garage.
Family and friends are holding fund raisers to help with medical bills.
Pepco is helping with any other needs.
